About the Minnesota Vixen:

The Minnesota Vixen are a NFL-style, full contact, tackle women’s football team that plays 11-on-11 outdoor football. The season consists of 6 games (3 home, 3 away) and playoffs. Pre-season practice begins in January with the games beginning in April. Currently, the Vixen are assembling their 2023 season coaching staff.    

Assistant Coach/Position Coach

Job Description: GENERAL STATEMENT OF DUTIES: The Minnesota Vixen seek passionate candidates for position coaches to be part of a collaborative coaching team and assist in all aspects of running a successful program. PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES: Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: practice plan development, individual and small group instruction, video analysis, large group instruction and individual meetings with both the head coach and individual athletes. The coach will be expected to attend practices and games, travel with the team for away-competitions and attend team functions such as fundraisers. Requirements:
  • Candidates should have competitive football playing and/or coaching experience.
  • Knowledge of NCAA rules.
  • Ability to work well in a diverse environment.
  • Desire and ability to work in a collaborative manner with other coaches.
  • Ability to work as part of a team and work independently.
  • Ability to show initiative, organize workflow, and lead.
  • Effective communication skills.
  • Previous coaching experience preferred.
  • Experience with and/or ability to utilize video (Hudl) preferred.
