After being diagnosed with type 1 diabetes, Caitlin explored various athletic endeavors as a young child, participating in pick-up neighborhood football games and such, to help maintain her health. Caitlin honed her skills in sports like soccer and basketball, laying the foundation for her future in competitive sports. It wasn't until high school that she gained valuable experience and a deep appreciation for the demands of a contact sport; rugby. Her passion for the physicality of rugby and the community around the sport continued into college and led her to the Minnesota Vixen after graduate school.
By day, Caitlin excels in her career as a stem cell biologist, demonstrating her commitment to both intellectual pursuits and physical challenges. In her free time, she finds happiness in the company of her dog, joy in being creative, embraces the serenity of yoga, and revels in finding new adventures in nature.
Currently in her seventh year with the Minnesota Vixen, Caitlin is driven by the desire for a championship ring! Her dedication, combined with her diverse background in sports and science, positions her as a formidable force on the football field.
