Samira was born in Monterrey, Nuevo León, Mexico. It is the place where she learned and played basketball and football during high school and college. She graduated in Mechatronic Engineering from the Faculty of Mechanical and Electrical Engineering of the Autonomous University of Nuevo León. She moved to Milwaukee, Wisconsin to continue her profession in 2020. Although she was unable to continue playing sports, due to work and other responsibilities, she never stopped believing that one day she would return to the field. In 2022, she moved to Mankato, Minnesota and sports came back into her life, in a big way. She attended tryouts for the MN Vixen , made the team, and proceeded to have fantastic 2023 rookie season. She is very excited and happy to start her second season with the Minnesota Vixen.
