2023 WFA All-American
2023 Special Teams Player of the Year
Meet Hannah Eckhardt – the versatile and tactical playmaker from Germany entering their 3rd and final season with the Minnesota Vixen. With a decade of experience on the football field across six countries and three continents, Hannah returns as a free safety and kicker, ready to leave it all on the field in this retirement season.
Originally planning to hang up the cleats in 2022, Hannah was instead recruited via the WFA International program to join the Vixen – and hasn’t looked back since. After earning recognition in 2024 as a sharp edge rusher and special teams contributor, they return for one last ride under the motto: Next is now.
Off the field, Hannah brings the same precision and mindset to the world of cybersecurity. As Head of Marketing at Admijalo Dienstleistungs GmbH – a German IT security company supporting football in Germany – they combine athletic discipline with strategic expertise. With a background in soccer (15 years), handball (3 years), and now offseason training in rugby and Hyrox-style workouts, Hannah is all about smart versatility and resilience. And yes – they once threw a game-winning touchdown pass in overtime as a quarterback. Just one of many stories in a remarkable career.
Married and based in Germany with two rabbits Pinoe and Twix, Hannah continues to inspire – proving that intuition, adaptability, and heart make just as much impact on the field as strength.
