Izzi grew up in the Twin Cities area and has always been passionate about sports. She is a hardcore MN Lynx fan and is always inspired by them. She has been an active athlete since her youth. While at Luther College studying English Education, she ran cross country, indoor track, and outdoor track. She annually participates in Grandma’s Half Marathon in Duluth, MN, but does not run nearly as much as she did in college because, you know, football.
When she is not on the field, she can be found biking (if it is warm), indoor bouldering, reading, hanging out with Zephyr (her cat), grading, scheming ways to make businesses include more women’s sports team apparel, snowboarding, or spending time with her incredible family and friends. She currently teaches 6th and 8th grade Language and Literature and adores her students! Her students inspire her to stay young and spunky.
