Anna Kimball grew up in Cedar Rapids, IA as a multisport athlete playing soccer, volleyball, and basketball. Her love of football began by spending every Sunday watching the Minnesota Vikings with her dad and lining up at recess as the only girl on the football field. She eventually talked her parents into letting her play a few years of organized youth flag. She attended the University of Minnesota, graduating with a B.S. in Computer Science with honors. After college, she joined the Vixen after being introduced to Head Coach Connor Jo Lewis through a rec soccer league teammate and has been with the team since 2024.
Off the field, Kimball serves as a full-time firefighter while working part time with NOAA on weather research. She also volunteers at an equine therapy center for children with disabilities. When she’s not working or training, she enjoys rock climbing, camping, and relaxing with a book and her two cats.

Sami is a very goal oriented person, loves challenges, and fun. Football has all of that and more. Sami fell in love with football their sophomore year in high school when they tried out for their schools football team. Their first year was really tough mentally and physically which is when they realized they loved a good challenge, even though it was hard, Sami never quit or gave up no matter what. Football is also so much more than a sport, it teaches you how to be a better person, to stay driven, to achieve goals you’ve set for yourself, it’s about friendship, and even family. Outside of football Sami likes to paint, play around with photography, photoshop, play video games, watch some YouTube, hang out with friends, and play with their 2 kitties Mac and Vixie.

Edy Halverson’s football life started in kindergarten, but don’t let that convince you that her athletics are one-track. A four-sport athlete in high school (soccer, track, football, hockey), Edy earned both All-State and Offensive Player of the Year honors in flag football, while winning the Hobey Baker award in hockey, all in her senior year at Two Rivers High School. That multi-sport acumen continues today, with Halverson matching her time with the Vixen with being a goalkeeper for the University of Minnesota Duluth’s women’s soccer team. The love of competition and intensity has ran Halverson across the sports gamut, and she’s ready to bring that drive to the Vixen this season!
